Tamannaah to replace Kajal Aggarwal in Shankar's Kamal Haasan-starrer, the magnum opus Indian 2?

Earlier, Trisha's name surfaced with regard to replacing the Thuppakki actress in the movie,

It was heard recently that Trisha may replace Kajal Aggarwal in the much-awaited magnum opus Indian 2 which has Shankar at the helm. Starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, the shooting of the movie was stalled for a while owing to the differences in opinion among Shankar and the production house.

The speculation of Kajal getting replaced in the movie started doing the rounds when there has been news about the actress beginning to have a full-fledged family life. Kamal and Trisha had earlier teamed up for Thoongavanam and Manmadhan Ambu.

However, looks like the makers have approached Tamannaah, too, for the role which was supposed to be essayed by the Thuppakki actress. It has to be seen who among the two will finally come on board. Indian 2 also has Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Bhavani Shankar playing pivotal roles.

Siddharth is another actor who will be seen in a crucial character in the movie. The project marks the actor's second collaboration with the director after Boys which was the former's acting debut.

Anirudh Ravichander is the composer for the movie which has cinematography by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman. A Sreekar Prasad handles editing of the film which was earlier in the news when three crew members passed away after a major accident happened on the film's set.

Shankar is currently busy with Ram Charan's film, which has been tentatively titled RC 15. The shooting of its first schedule was wrapped up recently. Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, will join the team of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram to complete the remaining portions.
