Tamannaah Bhatia, who has been promoting her upcoming horror film Aranmanai 4, recalled her experience of working with late director KV Anand as the film completed 15 years
Fifteen years might have gone by since late director K V Anand and Suriya’s action flick Ayan hit the big screens, yet the action masterpiece remains one of the most memorable films in Tamil cinema. Tamannaah Bhatia, who essayed the role of Yamuna, Suriya’s love interest in the film, still has only words of praise for the cinematographer-turned-director K V Anand. During a promotional interview for her upcoming horror drama Aranmanai 4, the actress recalled her memories of working with the late director.
“I think I really miss K V Anand sir. He was such a force of creation, you know. Technically he could put 4-5 cameras and would shoot in the craziest locations. He was such an ace cinematographer”, the actress said.

"Like I remember we were shooting for a song where there was a long shot and a very close shot. And I was wondering as to how am I going to dance and give both these shots and nail it. He then figured out a way where I could give expression in the close shot and do the whole dance sequence as well. And I had only 15 days to shoot for the entire film, that’s how fast he was. I think he shot beautiful shots of me, so I think I miss his presence. He was somebody who had so much knowledge and was so good at what he did,” she remarked.
When asked about the actress’ directorial ambitions, the actress revealed that she intends to helm a film someday. “Yeah, while I say this, I don’t think I have ever said this to anyone, but I am working on making my film one day,” the actress revealed, leaving the fans excited.
