Taapsee Pannu-Vikrant Massey starrer Haseen Dillruba heading for OTT release

The Taapsee Pannu-Vikrant Massey film 'Haseen Dillruba' will be taking the OTT route for release.

Last seen in the 2020 release Thappad, Taapsee Pannu is all set for her next release, Haseen Dillruba, which will be taking the OTT route for release. Co-starring Pannu, the film also features Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane in pivotal roles.

The Vinil Mathew directorial, written by Kanika Dhillon, will release on Netflix. According to reports, the filmmakers have finally zeroed in on a release date for Haseen Dillruba, after toying around with other options. The movie will now release on July 2, directly-on-OTT. The film was supposed to have a theatrical release in September last year, but had to be postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent lockdown.

Last year in October, Taapsee took to Instagram to post a picture announcing the completion of the film. She shared a glimpse from the sets in Haridwar for all of her fans.

The makers have kept the plot of the film secretly guided. However, the streaming platform’s official website has released a synopsis for Haseen Dillruba which reads, “Under investigation as a suspect in her husband’s murder, a wife reveals details of their thorny marriage that seem to only further blur the truth. There has been no official confirmation on the film’s release by Netflix or the makers of the movie as yet.”

Taapsee is currently working on several projects like Akarsh Khurana’s Rashmi Rocket, Rahul Dholakia’s Shabaash Mithu and Aakash Bhatia’s Looop Lapeta. Vikrant Massey, on the other hand, will be seen in Mumbaikar, 14 Phere and Love Hostel this year.
