Taapsee Pannu turns producer, floats a banner named ‘Outsiders Films’

Haseen Dillruba actress Taapsee Pannu is turning a new leaf and is set to turn producer. Known for her film choices and acting prowess, she took to Instagram to announce her production house, Outsider Films. She is collaborating with Pranjal Khandhdiya, a content creator and producer for her new venture.

Pouring her heart out in an emotional post, she thanked everyone who stood by her through thick and thin. In the Instagram post, Taapsee owed her career progress to her supporters. From someone who never thought of venturing into the public glare to becoming a public personality who has clocked a decade in the Indian film industry, she has indeed come a long way.

She added, “Time for some payback because with great power comes greater responsibility.” She decoded the title of her production house in her post, adding that the best perspective comes from the ‘outside’. Taapsee and her production partner Pranjal Khandhdiya connected with the banner name ‘Outsiders Films’ for the fact that they plan to collaborate with people hailing from humble backgrounds. Pranjal has been a part of successful productions such as 83, Piku, Azhar and has also bankrolled Taapsee’s upcoming film Rashmi Rocket.

In another Instagram post, Taapsee shared a picture with Pranjal. The post mentioned what made the duo click as friends and business partners and that it was a ‘crazy combination’ worth signing up for. ‘Having each other’s back, while we make sure every rupee on our project is worth it!’, the post read.

Taapsee has made a mark in the film industry, thanks to her unique movie choices and she looks to continue that vision with her production house. Outsiders Films aims to back ‘meaningful, entertaining and quality content.’ She has a string of releases lined up including Looop Lapeta, Rashmi Rocket, Dobaara, and Shabaash Mithu.
