Taapsee Pannu was talking to CBFC member Vani Tripathi Tikoo at the FICCI Global Young Leaders Summit 2021
Taapsee Pannu is a name that resounds across the country today. An actor who started her career with the 2010 Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam, she is one of the big stars of Bollywood today.
The actor was talking to CBFC member Vani Tripathi Tikoo at the FICCI Global Young Leaders Summit 2021 about a number of topics, amongst one was about male actors being reluctant to be a part of her movies.
“Every time I sit down with my producers over a list of the top five actors shortlisted for my films, those top five actors are the ones who have done just one or two films. And even they don’t want the role,” said Pannu, as she believes this is because the system around them teaches them to not be a part of a movie in which their role is less than 10%.

The Pink actor also talked about a few reasons male actors have stated to not be a part of her movie when given the offer. One of them said it is difficult to handle one Taapsee and here there are two, in a movie where she had a double role.
Another male actor turned down the chance as he thought the sympathy goes more towards the female character in the end, in a love story. She also says that this is an actor who has worked with her before and is a bigger star than her.
Pannu was last seen in Rashmi Rocket, the sports drama helmed byAkarsh Khurana. The movie that premiered on ZEE5 is currently available to stream on the platform.
