Taapsee Pannu reveals the reason why she would not have done Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal

Tapsee Pannu talks about Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal

The Ranbir Kapoor starrer film ‘Animal’ had been making news ever since the time it was being conceptualised. At first, it was Parineeti Chopra who was supposed to be playing the leading lady in the film. After she opted out of the film, Rashmika Mandanna stepped in her place. And once the film was released, despite the fact that, it turned out to be a huge blockbuster, there were many who panned the film. The latest to opine about the film is none other than Taapsee Pannu.

In an interview with Raj Shamani on his YouTube channel, Taapsee Pannu said that, since she is not an extremist, she agrees to disagree to a lot of people. When asked about whether she soulw do a filmlike Animal, Taapsee replied in negative stating that, keeping the reality (of society) in mind, she needed to exercise her power because Bollywood or being a star and actor gives the person that soft power. She added that, she was also not one of those people who decide which films the stars should do and which they should not. Taapsee Pannu, on her part, said that, she would not do the film (Animal).

Only a few days back, it was Javed Akhtar who called out the film without naming it at an event in Aurangabad. He cited an example by stating that, if there’s a film in which a man asks a woman to lick his shoe or if a man says it’s okay to slap a woman, and if the film is a super duper hit, then that’s very dangerous.
