Vikram Prabhu-starrer Taanakkaran, which dropped on Disney+ Hotstar on April 8, had opened to positive reviews from critics and the audience. The movie directed by Tamizh has Lal, Madhusudhanan, Bose Venkat, MS Bhaskar and Anjali Nair essaying pivotal characters in it.

Even as the film continues to earn praises from various quarters, including the likes of Rajinikanth and other leading celebs, it has now achieved another feat. Taanakkaran has been screened at a police recruits school in Ashok Nagar in Chennai. The cops who are undergoing training and the senior cops there are all praise for the movie and appreciated Tamizh who was also present at the screening.

It is heard that all the 43 police recruits school in Tamil Nadu will screen the project which is based on the struggles trainee cops face at such institutions. One of the highlights of the hard-hitting drama is the performance of lead actors and stunt choreography by Stunner Sam.

Philomin Raj has edited the movie which has cinematography by Madhesh Manickam and music by Ghibran. SR Prakash Babu, SR Prabhu, P Gopinath and Thanga Prabaharan R have produced the film under Potential Studios.

At the film's screening, Tamizh expressed his gratitude to the audience, critics and the cops who appreciated him for making the movie. He said that it's heartening to receive compliments and that it helps him forget the various hardships the crew faced while shooting for the movie. The filmmaker also noted that there has been many changes in such institutions compared to the time he used to be a police trainee.

Interestingly, Tamizh had depicted some of the experiences he faced in real life in the film. He played the role of a corrupt cop in Jai Bhim, which released a few months ago, which also won him appreciation for his flawless acting.
