Swathi Reddy to headline Abhishek Pictures' next titled Idiots; here's the first look

The film will be directed by Aditya Hasan with Naveen Medaram serving as the show-runner

Colors Swathi Reddy, who'll be next seen in the anthology film Panchathantram alongside a flurry of acting talents, has also finalised another project. The Karthikeya, Swamy Ra Ra actress will headline a film titled Idiots, to be helmed by a first-time director Aditya Hasan. The coming-of-age tale is produced by Abhishek Nama under Abhishek Pictures and is co-produced by Amogha Arts and MNDP. The first look of the film was launched earlier today.

Idiots promises to be a heart-warming drama with a lot of fun elements, while narrating a tender, innocent love story filled with nostalgia in the backdrop of a Telangana village. Nikhil Devadula, Siddharth Sharma, Sri Harsha, Nithya Shree, Suresh, Rajendhar Goud and others are also part of the lead cast. All the lead actors in the film are shown as caricatures in the poster with different emotions. Nikhil Devadula, Siddharth Sharma and Sri Harsha are referred to as the 'three idiots' of the film.

The surreal village backdrop designed in a retro-styled poster contributes to its feel-good vibe. Despite the title 'Idiots' (with a caption - the real heroes), everything about its first look is quite pleasant and serene. Sin, Babu Baga Busy director Naveen Medaram is the showrunner for Idiots with Siddarth Sadasivuni and Azeem Mohammad handling the music and cinematography. Arun Thachoth is the editor.

The producer Abhishek Nama is also associated with high budget entertainers like Ravanasura and Devil as well. The technical crew of Idiots comprises art director Tipoji Divya, costume designer Rekha Boggarapu. Kandikonda pens the lyrics while Sharveen Bannu Medaram is the executive producer.
