The film, written and directed by Lakshman K Krishna, is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments
Son of producer Bellamkonda Suresh and brother to actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Ganesh Bellamkonda is set to make his acting debut with a family entertainer titled Swathi Muthyam. Varsha Bollamma plays the female lead in the film written and helmed by debutant Lakshman K Krishna. Sithara Entertainments, that produced the hit DJ Tillu, is backing this film too.
The shoot of Swathi Muthyam is complete and the post-production work is progressing at a brisk pace. Naresh, Rao Ramesh, Subbaraju, Vennela Kishore, Harshavardhan, Pammi Sai, Goparaju Ramana, Siva Narayana, Pragathi, Surekha Vani, Sunaina and Divya Sripada too play crucial roles in the same. The makers of Swathi Muthyam have announced the release date - August 13.
August 13 isn’t at all bad date for a film of Swathi Muthyam’s scale and the Independence Day weekend should help its cause too. However, the major issue would be its clash with Samantha’s Yashoda and Akhil Akkineni’s Agent. Will the film be able to stand tall amidst two biggies? This strategy worked for DJ Tillu, when it wasn’t affected despite releasing the same weekend as Ravi Teja’s Khiladi.
The release date announcement poster has the protagonists riding a two-wheeler and having a gala time on an empty road. The first glimpse of the film, character promos and the posters hint that it revolves around an innocent young man and a straightforward girl on the cusp of an arranged marriage. Reportedly, the film will touch upon issues like love, marriage and modern-day relationships.
Swathi Muthyam has music by Mahathi Swara Sagar and is edited by Navin Nooli. Suryaa has cranked the camera while Avinash Kolla is the art director. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is the producer and PDV Prasad is the presenter respectively. The film’s female lead Varsha Bollamma last featured in Stand Up Rahul in Telugu alongside Raj Tarun.
