Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is headed for its digital release on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. Check out the new poster, featuring Randeep Hooda.

Randeep Hooda's film, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, was released theatrically on March 22, 2024. The film, directed by Hooda, clashed with Kunal Kemmu's Madgaon Express at the box office. Two months after its theatrical release, the film is now headed for its OTT premiere. It will be released on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium on May 28, 2024. Ahead of that, the makers have dropped a new poster of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, featuring Randeep.

ZEE5 shared the new poster of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar on Instagram. The highlight of the poster is how freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar lived many lives. Featuring different phases of Veer Savarkar's (played by Randeep Hooda) life, the makers mentioned called him, "the man who lived many lives." While sharing the poster, the streaming platform captioned the IG post: "Through many lives and much pain, his spirit never wavered. Truly, a revolutionary! SwatantryaVeerSavarkar premieres on 28th May, only on ZEE5 (sic)."

Randeep Hooda recovering the investment in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar

Although Swatantrya Veer Savarkar's box office figures weren't that great, they helped Randeep recover the money invested in the film. The actor told Bollywood Bubble that, "We’ve made it back and some more. We are in plus and have managed to break even. I now joke with my dad asking him to buy more properties so that I could sell them for my next film. Agli picture mein kaam ayega."

Ankita Lokhande in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar

Meanwhile, Ankita Lokhande collaborated with Randeep Hooda for the first time in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The actress essayed the character of Yamuna Bai in the film. If you missed watching Ankita as Yamuna Bai on the big screen, wait for May 28 as her film is headed for its OTT premiere on the same day.
