Ankita Lokhande recently completed her successful stint on Bigg Boss 17. The actress is now all set to star on the big screen with 'Swatantra Veer Savarkar', headlined by Randeep Hooda. The actress can be seen essaying the role of Savarkar's wife, Yamuna Bai, who faced her ordeal while her husband fought other battles. Recently, in an interview, she said that money has never been her primary goal and she is even ready to work for free.
While speaking to News18 Showsha, Ankita revealed that money has never been her primary goal and she is even ready to work on a project for free as she always works for the project and not the money. She said, "For me, money has always been secondary. The character I’m playing is the most important thing. Even now, I don’t run after money. I always go after the project. I’m ready to do films and shows for free."
The Pavitra Rishta actor also added that women should also not be afraid to ask what they deserve. "Having said that, I believe that you need to ask for what you want. And women, particularly, should ask for what they deserve," Ankita added.
In an industry where women actors are mostly paid less than male actors, many actresses have been open about this discussion. While Ankita also spoke about the same, she also rightly mentioned that for the hard work that women do, they should be paid what they deserve.

Ankita takes upon the role of his wife, Yamunabai, the wife of an activist, politician, and writer. The film is all set to release on March 22, 2024.
