It is not a secret that family structures evolve over a period of time! This fact is evidently true in the life of Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen as well who is the mother of two adopted daughters. Talking about her motherhood journey, she outlined why her kids never felt the need to have a father figure.
In an interview with journalist Siddharth Kannan, Sushmita was asked if her kids miss a father figure.
Replying to this, she said, "Not at all. Because they don't have a father figure. You only miss what you have. If you have never had it... the concept is... Now when I suggest to them that I should get married, they will be like, ‘What? For what? I don’t want a father’. But I may want a husband, it may have nothing to do with you! So, we joke about that a lot. They don’t miss their father. They have my father and their grandfather. That is everything for them. Anytime they need to have a father figure and a great example, he is the man.”
Sushmita, for the uninitiated, adopted her first daughter, Renee in 2000 while her second daughter, Alisah joined the family in 2010.
On a personal front, Sushmita was earlier rumoured to be in a relationship with actor Randeep Hooda from 2004 to 2006. Later, she dated model Rohman Shawl from 2018 to 2021. In 2022, rumours claimed that she is dating businessman Lalit Modi.
