Those who had watched the record-breaking trailer of Tovino Thomas’ Minnal Murali that dropped a week ago would have surely noticed the catchy tune it accompanied. Now, Netflix has released the lyric video of that song titled Thee Minnal along with animated glimpses of probably Minnal Murali’s first-ever public appearance.

The snappy song, rendered by Marthyan and Sushin Shyam, starts off with catchy beats before literally trumpeting the arrival of its hero. In the animated visuals, the viewers also get to see Tovino’s Jason in a rooster costume at the Kurukanmoola School annual festival in what appears to be Minnal Murali’s first public appearance. From what little we could gather, he does go “dishoom, dishoom” with the villains.

The earworm, which has lyrics by Manu Manjith, is composed by Sushin, who is having a magical run of late being part of movies such as Kurup and Malik. Shaan Rahman is another music director attached to Minnal Murali while Sushin will also be handling its background score.

The movie, which is scheduled to drop on Netflix on December 24, will be Netflix’s biggest Malayalam OTT release yet. The superhero origin story, directed by Basil Joseph, revolves around Jason who gets struck by lightning and acquires superhero powers including the ability to run faster, punch harder and leap higher.

Apart from Tovino in the lead role, the film also has Femina George, Guru Somasundaram, Baiju Santosh, Mammukkoya, Aju Varghese and Harishree Ashokan in pivotal roles. The movie is set to release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and English.
