Sara Ali Khan's debut film Kedarnath clocked 6 years of release today, on December 7, 2024. The film also featured the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role. On the occasion of its 6th year anniversary, Sara Ali Khan shared a special post on her social media account. Kedarnath was directed by Abhishek Kapoor and showcased the Uttarakhand floods of 2013.

Today, on December 7, Sara Ali Khan took to her social media account and reshared a post shared by one of her fans. In the post, there is a compilation of all the beautiful moments featuring her as Mandakini Mishra (Mukku) from the movie. She wrote on the post: "6 years of Kedarnath, 6 years of Mukku"

Last year, while remembering her co-actor Sushant Singh Rajput on the fifth anniversary, Sara wrote, "My eager and curious questions to Sushant about what I can do to be better, his selfless and unconditional help & support."

For the uninitiated, Abhishek Kapoor-directed Kedarnath revolves around the 2013 Uttarakhand flash floods with a love story revolving around it. The film showcased a romantic story between a rebellious daughter of a priest, played by Sara Ali Khan, and a Muslim porter Mansoor Khan, played by Sushant Singh Rajput. The storyline showed the kind of challenges their love faced during the Uttarakhand floods of 2013. Upon its release, the film received mixed reviews from the critics and audience, and SSR and Sara were appreciated for their performances.
