Suriya’s Kanguva to have massive opening; to release in THIS many screens

Directed by Siruthai Siva, the fantasy action-drama film marks Suriya's first big release in two years and also features Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in their Tamil debuts

As the release of Kanguva nears, the anticipation for the Suriya-starrer has been increasing. Scheduled to release on November 14, the makers are busy with the promotional drive of the film. In a recent trailer launch event conducted in Chennai, the team of Kanguva revealed that the film will be released in over 11,000 screens worldwide.

Kanguva to release in 11,000 screens worldwide

Suriya is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Kanguva. The film is slated for a November 14 release in theatres. Written and directed by filmmaker Siruthai Siva, Kanguva is planned for a huge release, and will be released in over 11,000 screens worldwide. It is a huge feat, with Kanguva having much anticipation from Suriya’s fanbase.

It is to be noted that Kanguva is Suriya’s first full-fledged release in the last two years since his 2022 film Etharkkum Thunindhavan. Kanguva, which is made on big budget, also stars Bobby Deol, and Disha Patani in their Tamil debuts.

Kanguva is fantasy action-drama film, which is expected to span across years. The film will see Suriya in two avatars. Kanguva has been censored U/A and has a runtime of two hours and 34 minutes. Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, and K. S. Ravikumar and others are also part of the cast.

With a release in around 3500 screens, the film is planned to hit theatres in eight languages, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, English, French, and Spanish. The team is planning to recreate Suriya’s voice in every language, using advanced AI technology.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Prime Video. Kanguva has music by Devi Sri Prasad with Vetri Palanisamy cranking the camera. Nishadh Yusuf had handled the edits. He was found dead at his Kochi home recently.
