Suriya recently took to his official social media and announced the shoot wrap of his next outing Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The actor’s post is now winning the internet.

Suriya is joining hands with talented filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, for his 44th outing in cinema. The project, which has been tentatively titled Suriya 44 is touted to be an action-drama film set in a different period. As per the latest updates, the filming of the yet-to-be-titled film has been finally wrapped up in Chennai. Suriya, who announced the shoot wrap on social media, posted a heartfelt note for director Karthik Subbaraj and his team and shared a few pictures.

The National award-winning actor, who wrapped up his ambitious project recently, took to his official social media handles and announced the same. “A wholesome, happy shoot got done across several locations… Lots of memories with the super talented cast & crew…,” wrote Suriya in his post. “I made a brother for life @karthiksubbaraj thank you & our team for making #Suriya44 a memorable experience,” further added the leading man, who is extremely happy with how the project has shaped up.

Along with the special note, Suriya also shared a few lovely pictures with Suriya director Karthik Subbaraj, his co-star Joju George, and the rest of the team members, on his social media handles. Director Karthik, who reshared the actor’s post on his official handle, wrote: “It was all possible coz of ur dedication.... passion... & Commitment to the Art of Cinema... The One .... Ever awesome Performer @Suriya_offl sir ... now my Brother for life... Thanks for the sweet words... So Overwhelmed... Much Love from team #Suriya44”

Suriya is reportedly set to play the role of a gangster in the untitled film. Pooja Hegde is making a comeback to the Tamil film industry, as the female lead in Suriya 44, which stars Jayaram, Karunakaran, and Joju George in other pivotal roles. Santhosh Narayanan is composing songs and the original score.  Shreyaas Krishna handles the cinematography. Shafique Mohamed Ali  handles the editing. Suriya 44 is bankrolled by Suriya’s home banner, 2D Entertainment.
