Suriya completes 27 years in cinema; team Suriya 44 wishes with a special poster

Suriya has now completed 27 years in the film industry. The cast and crew members of Suriya 44 celebrated the special occasion by dropping a new poster of the film.

Suriya, the celebrated actor of Tamil cinema, completed 27 years in the industry today (September 6, 2024). The National Award-winner carved a niche for himself in the industry with his back-to-back spectacular performances and unique choice of performances. As Suriya completed the major milestone, the makers of Suriya 44, his upcoming 44th outing directed by Karthik Subbaraj wished the actor by revealing a new poster of the film on social media. The new poster is now taking social media by storm.

As the celebrated actor completed 27 years in cinema, the Suriya 44 team members took to their official social media handles and dropped the brand-new poster of the film. Suriya is seen sporting a stylish retro get-up in the poster, in a yellow and brown printed jacket, which he teamed up with a white t-shirt and a pair of blue denim trousers. The actor, who is seen riding a retro bike in the picture, is sporting a semi-long hairdo and a unique mustache. He completed the look with a pair of statement sunglasses.

“27 years of Awesomeness!! Heart Wishes to #TheOne Suriya sir from team Suriya 44,” reads the social media post of director Karthik Subbaraj. “A journey of determination that began with #NerukkuNer has reached another milestone... Here's our wishes and love for completing 27 years #Suriya sir. Wish you more accolades and outstanding success... From team #Suriya44 #LoveLaughterWar,” wrote the team, on the official social media handles of production banner, 2D Entertainment.

If the reports are to be believed, Suriya is reportedly playing the role of a gangster in the untitled film. The first two schedules of Karthik Subbaraj’s film were extensively filmed at the various locations of Port Blair in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Ooty, and the Idukki district of Kerala. Pooja Hegde is appearing as the female lead in Suriya 44, which stars Jayaram, Karunakaran, and Joju George in other pivotal roles. Santhosh Narayanan is composing songs and the original score. Suriya 44 is bankrolled by Suriya’s home banner, 2D Entertainment.
