A new collaboration is in town! Actor Suriya is all set to join hands with filmmaker-actor RJ Balaji for a new film tentatively titled Suriya 45, the announcement was made on social media on Monday. The film will have music scored by AR Rahman and is bankrolled by the Dream Warrior Pictures banner.

Actor Suriya, who is expecting the release of his upcoming Tamil film Kanguva, has announced a new film. The actor will be pairing up with director-actor RJ Balaji for Suriya 45. The upcoming film will mark the first time RJ Balaji will be collaborating with Suriya in the capacity of a director-actor.
Suriya 45 will be produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures, the renowned production house that made critically acclaimed blockbusters like Joker, Aruvi, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Kaithi, Sulthan, Oke Oka Jeevitham, and Farhana. The film will have music scored by AR Rahman.

Suriya 45 is touted to be an “action-adventure film”. RJ Balaji is currently busy with the pre-production of Suriya 45. The multi-faceted filmmaker, who has been working on this exciting script for more than a year, has been visiting multiple locations for recce to finalize the locations.
AR Rahman has scored for Suriya-starrer Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, Aayudha Ezhuthu, and 24. RJ Balaji and Dream Warrior Pictures are planning to rope in many talented big names for this prestigious project. The cast and crew of Suriya 45 have not yet been announced. The film will go on floors in November and will be released in the second half of 2025.
Meanwhile, Suriya is awaiting the release of Kanguva, which is scheduled to release on November 14. The film is directed by Siruthai Siva. It also stars Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, and others.
