Suriya 44: Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj wrap up Ooty schedule; major updates are out

Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj recently wrapped up the Ooty schedule of their ambitious project, which is tentatively titled Suriya 44. Here are the updates on next schedules.

Suriya is teaming up with talented filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj for his 44th outing in Tamil cinema. The project, which has been tentatively titled Suriya 44 started rolling in June 2024. Recently, the project made headlines after the National Award-winning actor met with a minor accident, during the filming of an action scene, in Ooty. The latest updates now suggest that Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj finally wrapped up the Ooty schedule, successfully.

Suriya 44 team wraps up Ooty schedule

As per the recent updates, Suriya, Karthik Subbaraj, and the team wrapped up the second schedule of the film which was widely shot at the various locations of Ooty, Tamil Nadu, successfully. Earlier, the team put the filming on hold due after the popular star met with a minor accident on the sets. However, they soon resumed the filming after the leading man recovered, and finished the pending portions in the schedule.

Suriya 44 next schedule to begin in Idukki?

As per the reports, the next schedule of the yet-to-be-titled film is about to start rolling in Idukki, Kerala, on Monday, August 19, 2024. However, the Kerala schedule of the Karthik Subbaraj project is said to be a brief one, that will be wrapped up in a couple of days. It is yet to be revealed if the leading man Suriya will be a part of the Kerala schedule of the film. After wrapping up the Kerala schedule, the team is reportedly planning to shoot the pending portions of the film in Chennai.

Suriya is said to be playing a ruthless gangster in the untitled project, which is scripted by Karthik Subbaraj, himself. Pooja Hegde is set to play the female lead in the film, which stars Jayaram, Karunakaran, and Joju George in other pivotal roles. Santhosh Narayanan is composing songs and the original score. Shreyaas Krishna is the director of photography. Shafique Mohamed Ali handles the editing. Jacki heads the production design team. Suriya 44 is bankrolled by Suriya’s home banner, 2D Entertainment.
