Suraj Venjaramoodu has donned the cop’s uniform many times in the past, pulling off serious roles and slapstick humour in Malayalam cinema. The versatile actor is now gearing up to don the khaki again, for a movie scripted by a real cop.

If the reports we hear are to be believed, Suraj will be playing a circle inspector in the movie being helmed by debutant Unni Govind Raj. The project has gone on floors in Kochi, Kerala, according to the reports.

A report in TOI says that the movie is co-scripted by the director himself, collaborating with P S Subrahmanian, a circle inspector in Aroor. The latter is debuting as a writer with this project. According to the director, the film will be a mix of fictional and real-life incidents.

The yet-to-be-titled movie will have many life events that happen in the day-to-day life of a police officer. The music for the movie will be composed by Gopi Sundar.

The film’s cast also include actors like Deepak Parambol, Sudev Nair, Alencier Ley, Padmaraj Ratheesh, Abhija and Jaffer Idukki. It has also been reported that the project has its major locations set at Ernakulam and Thodupuzha.
