Rajinikanth on shooting in Tuticorin
Recollecting his fond memories of the town, Rajinikanth said, "The last time I shot here was for my film, Bhuvana Oru Kelvi Kuri in 1977. It's been more than 40 years. The people here are warm and welcoming. I am very happy to be here. The only grouse is that I couldn't get a picture with everyone."

Bhuvana Oru Kelvi Kuri was directed by SP Muthuraman, and had Rajinikanth sharing screen space with Sivakumar, Rajinikanth and Sumithra. The plot revolves around two friends and their conflicting characters. Rajinikanth, who had earlier been cast in an anti-hero role in a number of films, featured as the lead actor and Sivakumar played the baddie in it. The stupendous success of the film led to Rajinikanth playing more positive roles in his career."
