Sunny Wayne, Ahaana Krishna’s Pidikittapulli release date: When and where to watch the fun thriller

It’s official! Sunny Wayne and Ahaana Krishna’s comedy thriller Pidikittapulli is set for an OTT release. The makers and the streaming platform Jio Cinema made the announcement through their social media pages today.

The movie, which is directed by debutant Jishnu Sreekandan, is touted to be a comedy thriller that would remind the fans of similar films of the 80s. The story revolves around two couples played by Sunny Wayne and Ahaana Krishna, and Mareena Michael and Saiju Kurup.

The movie has Sunny Wayne, Ahaana Krishna, Baiju Santosh, Major Ravi and Saiju Kurup. The movie’s plot takes place in the span of a day. The shoot of Pidikittappulli was over in 2018 with Kollam being the main location.

The movie is set to premiere on Jio Cinema on August 27 and the streaming platform has released the fun teaser, which promises a comic book-style narration that the director had earlier mentioned he was going for. The movie is also co-scripted by Jishnu and Sumesh V Robin. Pidikittapulli’s crew also consists of composer PS Jayahari, editor Bibin Paul Samuel and cinematographer Anjoy Samuel. Jio Studios had also dropped another trailer of the movie a few days ago.

Sunny’s previous film Anugraheethan Anthony was also released on Amazon Prime Video last month. Jio Cinema, meanwhile, has been releasing Malayalam films produced by Gokulam Gopalan films for the past few months.

Kammarasambavam, Kayamkulam Kochunni, Puzhayamma, Clint and Kuttyamama were some of the movies that had its digital premiere via JioCinema in the past two months.
