Jaat Cast Salaries

The trend of reviving yesteryear Bollywood blockbusters took full swing in 2023–2024, with makers bringing back old IPs that had a massive fan following and guaranteed success. One of the first major revivals was Gadar 2 which marked Sunny Deol’s return as Tara Singh. The film became a massive box office hit, reaffirming Deol’s position as a bankable star, as it drew massive footfalls to theatres.

Naturally, the buzz around his next project was enormous. Now, Sunny Deol stars in Jaat a film that marks his first collaboration with South filmmaker Gopichand Malineni, who aims to present Deol as a pan-India star. What’s turning heads this time is Deol’s paycheck—reportedly six times heavier than what he earned for Gadar 2.

Jaat Cast Salaries

Jaat features a stellar ensemble including Sunny Deol, Swatantrya Veer Sarvarkar star Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, and others in pivotal roles. The film is backed by renowned production houses Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. Music is composed by the sensational Thaman S, with Rishi Punjabi handling cinematography, Navin Nooli in charge of editing, and Avinash Kolla taking care of production design. The film was passed with a U/A certificate and has reportedly undergone 22 cuts in total.

What’s making the most buzz now is Sunny Deol’s reported Rs 50 crore paycheck for Jaat. Yes, you read that right. To give some perspective, Deol was paid Rs 8 crore for Gadar 2. This means he charged nearly six times more for Jaat.

As for the rest of the cast, according to Jagran:

  • Randeep Hooda reportedly earned Rs 5–7 crore
  • Vineet Kumar Singh was paid Rs 1–2 crore
  • Regina Cassandra, who plays Bharti, took home Rs 80–90 lakh
  • Jaat Box Office Day 2 Update

As per Sacnilk Jaat earned only Rs 7 crore on Day 2, which is Rs 2.5 crore less than its Day 1 collection. This brings the film’s overall total to Rs 16.5 crore, which is far from impressive for a high-budget movie led by a major star like Sunny Deol. The film saw 11% occupancy on Day 2. While morning footfalls were low, there was a gradual increase in the afternoon and evening, with night shows performing significantly better.

According to Sacnilk Jaat had already earned Rs 0.12 crore in advance bookings for Day 3, which is its first Saturday post-release. The hope now is that the Ghayal star’s pan-India project finds its footing and achieves its first double-digit collection today.

While the movie is underperforming at multiplexes and in Tier 1 cities, it’s reportedly doing better in Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions, where on-spot bookings are healthy. If word-of-mouth in these zones turns out to be positive, the tide could still turn in Jaat’s favor.

Jaat has a runtime of 2 hours, 33 minutes, and 31 seconds and was released in cinemas on April 10, 2025. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more updates on Jaat and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
