Sunflower trailer: Sunil Grover shines in this crime-meets-chaos comedy thriller

“No sorry, no thank you and no loans in friendship,” that’s what Sunil Grover's Sonu can be seen quoting in the Sunflower trailer that has dropped today. The Zee5 original series has been slated to premiere on June 11.

The trailer starts off with a murder investigation by Ranvir Shorey and Girish Kulkarni in Mumbai’s Sunflower society. In front of society members and the police, without even thinking for a second Grover says, “Murder cases are rising these days,” which takes everyone by surprise. Grover acts really odd and jokes around even in serious situations, which at times look creepy. The ongoing murder investigation includes many other suspects including Mukul Chadda as well.

Written and co-directed by Vikas Bahl and Rahul Sengupta, the show also features Ashish Vidyarthi, Radha Bhatt, Ashish Kaushal, Shonali Nagrani and Saloni Khanna, which promises to offer thrill, comedy as well as drama with its quirky characters and their relatable stories.

Grover is currently, one of the most popular comedians in the country, was recently seen in LOL: Hasse toh Phasse, hosted by Boman Irani and Arshad Warsi. ,
