Sundar C to work with Nayanthara in Mookuthi Amman 2?

We had earlier reported that a sequel for the 2020 Tamil fantasy comedy film Mookuthi Amman is in the making with Nayanthara once again set to headline the project. While the makers had not revealed the director of the sequel, and with RJ Balaji who helmed the 2020 not to return to the director's chair, it seems that the team has finalised a big and renowned filmmaker to helm the project.

Sundar C to work with Nayanthara in Mookuthi Amman 2?

Last we had reported that three directors, Sundar C, Hari and Vikram Kumar are in talks with the makers of Mookuthi Amman 2. Now, it has been nearly confirmed with the social media buzz that director Sundar C will be wielding the megaphone. However, an official announcement of Mookuthi Amman’s director is yet to be made.

It is very likely that Sundar C will helm Mookuthi Amman 2, because of the director’s proven track record of making commercially successful films with supernatural and divine intervention. The latest is the horror comedy Aranmanai 4 which released earlier this year. It will also mark the first time Nayanthara working with Sundar C. Aranmanai 4 is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Where to watch Mookuthi Amman?

Mookuthi Amman is 2020 Tamil fantasy film starring Nayanthara in the lead role. The film is written and directed by RJ Balaji and revolves around a reporter who is trying to unravel the truth of a fake godman. Nayantharana plays the lead titular role, whose divine intervention aids the reporter in doing his job. Actors Urvashi, Smruthi Venkat, Madhu Mailankody, Abinaya, Moulee and Ajay Ghosh, and others were seen in prominent roles.

The film is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Vels Film International produced the film, who will be once again backing the sequel. The information on the cast and crew are yet to be made.
