Sultan of Delhi trailer: Tahir Raj Bhasin takes the lead in this tale of the glamorous and gritty 60s underworld

The series is created by Milan Luthria and is set for a premiere on October 13, 2023, on Disney+ Hotstar.

The trailer for Sultan of Delhi is finally out. After an intriguing teaser, Disney+ Hotstar has released a glimpse into what this underworld story is all about. The series is based on Arnab Ray's book Sultan of Delhi: Ascension which Milan Luthria created in his OTT debut. Featuring Tahir Raj Bhasin in the lead role along with Mouni Roy, Anjum Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Anupriya Goenka, Mehreen Pirzada, and Harleen Sethi, the series spans decades.

Trailer overview:

The trailer shows how a man who made it through the partition becomes a major player in the criminal underworld of Delhi. With this, a vicious power struggle, full of deceit and political manoeuvring, begins as a new leader takes the reins.

Earlier, while talking about the series, Milan said in a statement that Sultan of Delhi is the first web series he has created. Set in the sexy 60's, it has an enduring, pacy approach filled with elements of glamour, action, music, punchy one-liners, and entertainment. The series follows the journey of Arjun Bhatia (Tahir Raj Bhasin) and examines a tale of ambition, treachery, bravery, and the ultimate struggle for power. Milan always endeavours to provide audiences with an entertaining experience through his stories, and Sultan of Delhi is one such beautiful journey. He is thrilled to be collaborating with Disney+ Hotstar to bring this story to life.

Reliance Entertainment produces the series, which Milan Luthria co-directs and co-writes with Suparn Verma and is based on Arnab Ray's book Sultan of Delhi: Ascension. Milan Luthria makes his OTT directorial debut with Sultan of Delhi a larger-than-life series scheduled for release on October 13, 2023. The series has been co-directed and co-written by Suparn S. Varma.
