Anupriya Goenka on types of roles she initially received
Speaking about the kinds of role she initially received and if it gets difficult for her to perform intimate scenes on screen, Anupriya said: “As a person, it depends, I’ve always been very sure of what I’m ready to do on screen as an actor and as a person."
"I remember when I had started out, I always wanted to do independent cinema, arty movies. Ans when I started in 2012-2013, the arty cinema people were constantly demanding nudity and full surrender, that we have to do everything and they will not promise you to what level because they want actors who fit into that stream and we don’t restrict ourselves. And I would not judge them for that, I would understand where they are coming from and I, as an actor, am very sure that I can do this and that. I was very sure even then that what I can do," the actress added.
The actress further added, "As a person and as an actor, you also need to trust your director and the reason why he is adding those (intimate) scenes. And whether your role is more than that, for me that really matters."
