Ace filmmaker Sukumar has heaped praises on the latest Telugu movie Baby.
Ace filmmaker Sukumar has become a fan of the latest Telugu film Baby . In his review, he hailed the film for its "unconventional writing," and appreciated the producers for investing in such talents, which he believed will usher in a new wave in Telugu cinema.
"It's been so long that I've witnessed such unconventional writing...Definitely this movie will bring a new wave, a new pattern in writing of the cinema every scene was like a suspense thriller for me...Its the first time I have seen where, situations behaved like the characters of the film. Kudos to Sai Rajesh And I appreciate SKN and Maruthi for believing and empowering such unconventional film," he wrote on his Instagram page.

Baby tells a coming-of-age story of a boy and a girl, who fall in love with each other at school. However, when they pass out from school and the reality of life catches them up, all their dreams and expectations are shattered.
"Vaishnavi is by far, one of the iconic characters ever written...And Vaishnavi chaitanya has inhaled it completely and exhaled it to us. Anand was so brilliant that he looked intoxicated by his role. viraj is up to the mark. Music by vijay bulganin is like a beautiful visual..And cinematography by Balreddy, is like a melodious tune to the film," he added.
Winning such a high-praise from a maverick filmmaker like Sukumar will add to the film's momentum at the box office. Defying expectations, the movie took a huge opening at the box office in the Telugu states and continued its bullish run even during the weekdays. According to reports, the movie raked in more than Rs 21 crore from its worldwide ticket sales. All stakeholders are said to be already in profit.
Baby is written and directed by Sai Rajesh and stars Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Viraj Ashwin in the lead roles.
