Sukhee trailer: Shilpa Shetty and Kusha Kapila relive their college days in the slice-of-life movie

The Sonal Joshi directorial also has Amit Sadh, Pavleen Gujral, Dilnaz Irani, Chaitannya Choudhry and Jyoti Kapoor.

Sukhee is the upcoming slice-of-life drama film starring Shilpa Shetty and Kusha Kapila. The makers have just dropped the fun-packed official trailer video of the Sonal Joshi directorial, which is set to be out this month.

The trailer video begins by showcasing Shilpa as a housewife taking care of a bedridden father-in-law, a busy husband and a teenage daughter. She gets an invitation to her college reunion and gets scared to face her friends after so many years. Meanwhile, she suddenly gets a call from her friends about the college reunion and asks her husband's permission to go to another city, to which he says that it's too difficult without her at home, especially when the board exam of their daughter is closer. So, he can't allow her to go.

However, her will to relive an old and free life, lands her in her home city and she gets to have the time of life with her three other girlfriends. The makers dropped the trailer with a special caption on YouTube that reads, "In every woman, there is a Bedhadak, Besharam, Beparwah, and Sukhee hidden and this film invites you to reconnect with yourself. (sic)."

Cast and makers of the film

Along with Shilpa and Kusha in pivotal roles, Amit Sadh, Pavleen Gujral, Dilnaz Irani, Chaitannya Choudhry and Jyoti Kapoor play the key characters. Directed by Sonal Joshi, the screenplay of Radhika Anand's story is done by Paullomi Dutta. It is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Shikhaa Sharma under the banner of T-series and Abundantia Entertainment.

Release date

Sukhee is set to have a theatrical release on September 22.
