The cast of Sugar Factory also includes Sonal Monteiro, Adhvithi Shetty, Ruhani Shetty and Rangayana Raghu
The Friday of October 24th brings along not one but three distinct Kannada films, one of which is 'Sugar Factory' which stars Darling Krishna, Sonal Monteiro, Adhvithi Shetty and Ruhani Shetty. Directed by Deepak Aras, the film is billed as a romantic comedy centred around modern-day relationships and the shenanigans involving the characters played by the aforementioned actors. Rangayana Raghu, too, plays a key role in the film.
The second trailer of the film, which dropped earlier today on Sunday, November 19th, shows the comical route that the plot takes and how things go slightly out of control when the paths of the central characters cross one another. Darling Krishna plays Arya, a young and vibrant man with Sonal Monteiro playing Aditi, Adhvithi Shetty playing Nandini, Ruhani Shetty essaying the role of 'Amulu' and Rangayana Raghu in the role of Bobs.
Kabir Rafi's music is likely to be one of the main highlights of the film and the team has released multiple singles from the film, including the title track, the party song 'Hangover', 'Haneya Baraha' sung by Armaan Malik and the romantic number titled 'Jahapanah'. The visuals of the film, which has been mainly shot in and around Goa, have been captured by Santhosh Rai Pathajje with KM Prakash serving as the editor.
Darling Krishna, who is fresh off the success of Kousalya Supraja Rama, would certainly hope that Sugar Factory fetches him another success in the rom-com genre. Having made a mark for himself with the two Love Mocktail films, which he also directed and co-produced with actor/wife Milana Nagaraj, Krishna's tryst with the said genre hasn't been particularly fruitful in the recent past but he has proven that every time he has chosen a solid script to back himself, the results have been in his favour.
It emerged recently that he will be headling a 'pre-independence' film titled Halagali which will be directed by Sukesh Nayak. Darling Krishna is also meant to direct Love Mocktail 3, the third instalment of the series.
