The relationship drama helmed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti hits theatres on September 16
Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeeku Cheppali is among the list of many films hitting the screens this weekend. Starring Sudheer Babu and Krithi Shetty in the lead, the film revolving around the relationship between a maverick filmmaker and a medico-turned-actress is helmed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti. At the pre-release event yesterday. Sudheer shared his experiences working on the film.
“I’m so happy to see many of my industry counterparts in attendance today at the event. Generally, when you hear a script, you have many doubts and keep pondering over the reason you need to take it up. I had no such issues with Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali. In my mind, it was an instant yes and there were no second thoughts,” he said.
Mohana Krishna Indraganti is like family to me, Sudheer added. “This is my third film with him after Sammohanam and V. When you go through his filmography, you’ll realise that there is no genre that he has left untouched. Even if there are other genres left, he will wrap them up in his future films and can even retire too. However, our bonding isn’t the only reason I said yes to this film.”
“The film worked for me on the whole and that’s what pushed me to do it. PG Vinda, the cinematographer, has been another constant feature in my career. I keep joking that I have an affair with Indraganti (sir) and later with Vinda garu. We picked Krithi for the film much before Uppena and I’m confident that her performance will help her stabilise her position in the industry,” he stated.
