The Stree 2 teaser was released in theatres attached to Munjya and is now finally on the internet.
Right in the midst of the buzz around Pushpa 2: The Rule Singham Returns, and other big releases, an exciting announcement has fans eagerly anticipating one of Bollywood's most-awaited movies. Set to hit the big screen on August 15, Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is generating significant excitement. Adding to the buzz, the makers have released the first teaser of the film, and fans now have all the more reason to buy tickets. Below is everything you need to know about the teaser.
For the uninitiated, the makers of the supernatural horror-comedy franchise released the teaser of Stree 2 attached to Munjya in theatres. This meant fans had to buy tickets for Munjya to watch the teaser of Stree 2 one of the cleverest marketing strategies in recent times. However, after building up curiosity, the makers have now finally decided to treat fans by dropping the teaser on Instagram. We must say, it is indeed living up to the hype.
Sharing the teaser on Instagram, the production house wrote in a collaborative post, "Iss baar Chanderi mein azaadi ke din hoga aatank! (ghost and evil emojis) The legend returns on this INDEPENDENCE DAY on 15th August! #Stree2 #SheIsBack #Stree2Teaser.” The short teaser features all the recurring actors, including Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and more. The chronicles of Chanderi now face an additional challenge that lurks in the shadows, and we are not shown the clear picture just yet.
The town now worships Stree, with a massive statue of her built on the boundary, requesting that she protect them. But the danger returns, and we see someone striking over the tagline 'Oh, Stree Raksha Karna’. The drama begins as we see Shraddha Kapoor in a new light and the entire village, including the three leading men, is all scandalised. However, the teaser keeps a lot under wraps, and we are not introduced to the conflict entirely. But one thing is for sure: there is a lot to await.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree set in the fictional town of Chanderi, is about a female ghost who demands her place in society by attacking men. The sequel is set to continue the tale, also addressing the post-credits scene where Shraddha Kapoor was seen doing something surprising. The film will hit the big screens on August 15, 2024, and is set to clash at the box office with Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer Khel Khel Mein and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule.
