The makers of Stree 2 have confirmed the film's release date. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the horror comedy will clash with three movies at the box office.

Cine lovers are in for a treat this Independence Day! Until now, three movies are confirmed to hit the silver screen on August 15, 2024. Now, the makers of Stree 2 have confirmed that the movie will be released on the same day as John Abraham's Vedaa, Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu's Khel Khel Mein, and Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna's Pushpa 2. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror comedy was earlier set to release on August 30, 2024. But there's a major change in the plan!
Stree 2 release date announced!
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared an official update about Stree 2's release date on his official X handle. "BreakingNews… SHRADDHA KAPOOR - RAJKUMMAR RAO: ‘STREE 2’ ARRIVES ON 15 AUG INDEPENDENCE DAY… JioStudios and DineshVijan announce the new release date of #Stree2: 15 Aug 2024 #IndependenceDay. The #AmarKaushik directorial stars ShraddhaKapoor and RajkummarRao (sic)," his tweet read.
Stree 2's release date announcement comes right after the makers of Singham Again shifted the film's release to Diwali 2024. Earlier, Rohit Shetty's cop drama, featuring Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor, was scheduled for Independence Day release.
Stree 2 teaser out with Munjya in cinemas
Amid this, the makers of Stree 2 have also treated the audience to the film's teaser in theatres. The teaser of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's film can be enjoyed while watching Aditya Sarpotdar's Munjya in theatres. Jio Studios shared an update about the Stree 2 teaser on X . "Iss swatantrata diwas, aa rahi hai Stree fir se! Stree2 in cinemas this Independence Day, 15th August 2024. Catch the Stree2 Teaser exclusively in cinemas with Munjya from today (sic)," the production house's tweet read.
Munjya, featuring Abhay Verma, Sharvari, and Mona Singh, was released theatrically on June 7, 2024. It is a part of Maddock Films' horror comedy universe, which includes Stree, Bhediya, and Roohi.
