Stree 2 out on OTT: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's blockbuster now streaming on Prime Video

Following its successful release in theatres on August 15, 2024, Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao is now streaming on OTT.

The eagerly anticipated sequel of the 2018 hit film Stree, Stree 2 is finally streaming on OTT now. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the film had an impressive theatrical run and now fans who have been waiting for the film to stream on OTT can watch the film for free from the comfort of their homes, without any additional charges.

Stree 2 is now streaming on Prime Video

Stree 2 was released in theatres on August 15, 2024 and was a blockbuster at the ticket window. The film was then made available for rent on Prime Video at Rs 349, where viewers could watch it within a 48-hour window. Now, the good news is that the film is now available for all Prime users at no extra cost. The makers have now released the comedy-horror film on the platform just in time for the festive Dussehra season.

Amazon Prime Video also made the official announcement about the same with a quirky post on their official social media account. Sharing a poster that has “woh aa rahi hai” written on it with a braid indicating Stree is coming. In the caption, they wrote: "ek surprise hai, kal aana"

Stree 2 box office

For the uninitiated, Stree 2 broke multiple records at the box office upon its theatrical release. The film surpassed ₹600 at the domestic box office and raked over ₹862 crore worldwide. The film also made it to one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2024.

Stree 2 is directed by Amar Kaushik and is written by Niren Bhatt. The narrative of the film picks up where the first film left showcasing the adventure of Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and his friends as they now face a terrifying ghost named Sarkata in the town of Chanderi. Along with Shraddha Kapoor and Rao, the film also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee in important roles.
