Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 saw a boost at the Box Office again in week 6, after earning over Rs. 1 crore throughout week 5
Shraddha Kapoor in Stree 2
Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's movie saw a big jump on day 37, which is the sixth Friday Box Office for the film. The movie, which had earned Rs. 1.65 crores on sixth Thursday, earned thrice of day 36 on day 37. The big reason for that is National Cinema Day. While the movie is already the highest grossing Bollywood film, it aims at taking the number higher. With the current trend, the film might earn over Rs. 600 crores in its entire Box Office run. Here's a look at Stree 2 Box Office collections so far...
Week 5 started on a great note for Stree 2, which is already the highest grossing Bollywood film. The movie earned nearly thrice from day 36. On day 37, which is the sixth Friday, Stree 2 earned Rs. 4.75 crores, according to Sacnilk. The movie had seen a drop till sixth Thursday and earned only Rs. 1.65 crores on day 36. However, National Cinema Day (movie tickets at Rs. 99) benefitted the film, much like other releases.
Stree 2 has earned Rs. 568.75 crores so far. The movie minted Rs. 291.65 crores in the first week, which is more than half of the current Box Office collection so far. Over weeks 2, 3, 4 and 5, it earned Rs. 141.4 crores, Rs. 70.2 crores, Rs. 36.1 crores and Rs. 24.65 crores, respectively. The Box Office collections include the limited paid previews on Wednesday. The film earned Rs. 8.5 crores through the early previews and opened to Rs. 51.8 crores, on Independence Day holiday, which was a Thursday.
At the current pace, it looks like Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 will earn Rs. 600 crores at the Box Office in its lifetime run. The film might pick up over the weekends and get closer to the number. Given how it has started earning in Rs. 1 crore over the weekdays, Stree 2 might be nearing the end of its Box Office run soon. Whether the film can touch Rs. 600 crore mark before that remains to be seen.
