Stree 2 trailer out

Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 has been breaking records at the Box Office in advance booking itself. The movie has already beat the records of Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif-Emraan Hashmi's Tiger 3 and Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra. Both the movies generated immense buzz ahead of their release, much like Stree 2. Moreover, the Amar Kaushik directorial is likely to beat even the Box Office collections of Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone's Fighter as well as the megahit pan-India film, Kalki 2898 AD (soon to release on OTT).

Stree 2 beats Tiger 3, Brahmastra records

Stree 2, also starring Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles, has managed to sell 1.22 lac tickets in advance booking already, according to a report on Sacnilk. This is way more than what Salman Khan's Tiger 3 and even Ranbir Kapoor's Brahmastra could bring in. The same has happened within 38 hours and is expected to grow even further.

Stree 2 on its way to beating Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD at the Box Office too

The advance booking for Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD was pretty high, which is why they are among top 10 films to earn through advance bookings. With its current pace and expected opening of Rs. 30 crores (predicted by trade analyst Joginder Tuteja) at the Box Office, Stree 2 is definitely well on its way to beating Fighter and even Kalki 2898 AD, or at least its Hindi version.

Other releases with Stree 2

There are three movie releases on Independence Day, August 15. Stree 2 is just one of them. The other movies are Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa. Obviously, the highest buzz generator so far is Stree 2 because of the power of the franchise and how the original film, Stree, paved the way for horror-comedy to achieve success in India. Moreover, people are curious to find out the mystery about whether Shraddha's character is actually the ghost that Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) fell in love with.
