Star: Kavin alongside director Elan
The makers of Kavin’s upcoming film Star had recently dropped a peppy single ‘Melody’, and fans were thrilled to witness the young talent’s hilarious transformation as a charming woman. As the song continued to trend on social media, the film's director Elan took to his social media pages to release the BTS footage of the making of the song. The new video features the Dada actor getting the makeup done for his ‘lady get-up’. Sharing the BTS video, the director wrote a caption that read, “Melody takes time to get ready (sic)”.
The peppy number features Kavin dressed up as a woman, grooving to Yuvan Shankar Raja’s energetic beats. The song seems to be taking place at the ‘Fusion Fest of 2002’, where the actor is seen performing the dance number with other dancers on stage. Going by the video, it appears that the song might be a flashback sequence to the protagonist's college days. Nonetheless, the song has managed to impress the young audiences who have been amazed to witness the actor’s hilarious transformation or you may call it the new ‘Remo’ get-up!

When will Kavin’s Star release?
Kavin's family drama Star will release in theatres on May 10. Directed by Elan, the upcoming film is set to narrate the heartwarming story of a movie star, taking us through his struggles and rise to stardom. Alongside Kavin, the film will also feature Lal, Preity Mukundhan, Aaditi Pohankar, and Geetha Kailasam in supporting roles. Written and directed by Elan, Star has cinematography handled by Ezhil Arasu K, with editing handled by Pradeep E Ragav. The original score and tracks have been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Elan had previously helmed the film Pyaar Prema Kaadhal (2018).
Kavin, one of the most sought-after stars of Kollywood, is set to make a memorable performance in the upcoming film. Tamil audiences have been praising the actor for his choice of scripts and have pinned high hopes for Kavin’s upcoming family drama.
