Actor Raj Tarun is gearing up for another release after his rural entertainer Anubhavinchu Raja. Stand Up Rahul, where he's cast in the role of a standup comedian named Rahul, is written and directed by first-time filmmaker Santo Mohan Veeranki. Varsha Bollamma plays the female lead in the urban rom-com bankrolled by Nandkumar Abbineni and Bharath Maguluri under Dream Town Productions and HighFive Pictures.

The theatrical trailer of Stand Up Rahul was launched today. It takes you through the trials and tribulations of a city-bred youngster Rahul, his equation with his parents and his love life while he's narrating many of his personal experiences at a stand-up show. The story revolves around the commitment issues of Rahul, his stance against marriage and how he finally takes charge of his destiny.

Yamaleela actress Indraja is cast as Raj Tarun's mother in the film while Murali Sharma plays the actor's on-screen father. Varsha Bollamma calls herself a dreamer in the trailer and gives a direction to the male protagonist's life. The film looks fresh, vibrant with peppy visuals and presents a massy Raj Tarun in a classy avatar.

Devi Prasad, Madhurima Narla, Vennela Kishore also essay important roles in the film. Sweekar Agasthi has scored the music for the film which has cinematography by Sreeraj Raveendran. Raviteja Girijella is the editor while Uday is the art director. The film will hit theatres on March 18.
