Prabhas and SS Rajamouli share a special bond.
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli shares a very special bond with Telugu superstar Prabhas and the mutual affection and admiration between the two is always visible whenever they make an appearance together. In a special gesture, Rajamouli interviewed Prabhas, along with director Prashanth Neel and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran ahead of the release of one of the most awaited movies of 2023, Salaar.
Rajamouli delved into various aspects, questioning the creative thought process and efforts invested in bringing Salaar to life. And in a candid moment, he made a very surprising assessment of Prabhas, dispelling the mirage about the latter's personality.
While Prabhas may outwardly project a carefree demeanour, suggesting a lack of seriousness or impulsive decision-making, Rajamouli's evaluation unveils a different truth—behind his seemingly naive exterior lies a superstar with a keen and astute business mind.
"Prabhas is the person who looks like an idiot but is absolutely shrewd," he said. "He will create an impression that he doesn't know anything and you can easily fool him." But, he suggested that it was not easy to deceive Prabhas or make him do something that he honestly didn't believe in.
Rajamouli made this statement when Prashanth Neel pointed out that he faced no resistance or scrutiny from Prabhas while making Salaar. Prashanth recalled that Prabhas loved every scene that he pitched to him without any reservation, making the director second-guess his own vision.
Salaar is set to take an earth-shattering opening this Friday worldwide. Prashanth, who has written and directed it, has borrowed the plot points from his debut Kannada movie Ugramm and scaled it up to match Prabhas' stardom in Salaar.
Besides Prabhas and Prithviraj, the film also stars Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and Ramachandra Raju.
