The actor will be a magician in the Suni-directed Sharan starrer, and a cop in Siddarth Mahesh’s long-pending Garuda.
Srinagara Kitty was last seen onscreen in the 2017 film Siliconn City, which had Suraj Gowda and Kavya Shetty as well on the cast. While the actor had worked on the Siddarth Mahesh-starrer Garuda thereafter, which has been ready since 2019 and has been delayed. Garuda should be ready for release sometime in early 2022. Another film that he’s done is the Suni-directed Avatara Purusha, which is releasing in two parts. In fact, the first installment was supposed to hit theatres on December 10, but owing to undisclosed reasons, the team has decided to advance the same and has not announced an alternate date yet.
Nevertheless, Kitty will have three releases shortly, including the second part of Avatara Purusha, and is also working on a couple of other films, Buddhivantha 2 and Gowli. In all likelihood, Kitty will next be seen in Avatara Purusha: Ashta Digbandana Mandalaka, in which he plays a magician. Suni had earlier mentioned that one of the film’s central plot points is black magic.
In media interactions about his role in the film, Kitty, who has collaborated with Suni earlier, said that their combination always has a certain gravitas to it, which continues with his character in Avatara Purusha as well. The actor added that detailing his role as a magician would reveal too much of the story, and hence, refrained from saying anything other than that it is a pivotal character as far as the narrative is concerned and that he had fun playing it. Describing the central theme of Avatara Purusha as new for the team, especially Suni, Kitty is all praise for the execution of bringing this story to the big screen.
Kitty, who is also looking forward to the release of Garuda, has been shooting for the action-thriller Gowli, which sees him sporting a long beard to pull off a rugged and intense look. The actor also has an interesting role in Prajwal Devaraj’s Veeram.
