Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes
Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes is the latest Telugu film garnering attention, but unfortunately for the wrong reasons. Starring comedian Vennela Kishore in the lead role, the film is set to release on December 25, 2024, as a Christmas special. Despite the makers' efforts to promote the film, Vennela Kishore has been noticeably absent from promotions. He has not attended any events and participated only in a pre-recorded solo interview.
This absence hasn't sat well with the makers. When questioned, the producer admitted he had no explanation, simply stating that Kishore doesn’t promote his films or attend events. Vennela Kishore has long been known for staying away from the media, rarely making public appearances, even for star-studded films he acts in. However, the producer’s frustration has brought this issue in the spotlight.

Written and directed by Writer Mohan, the film is seeing a decent release, with the trailer garnering good attention. Ananya Nagalla plays the female lead and has taken on most of the promotional activities. Addressing the controversy, Vennela Kishore clarified through his team that his role in the film is significant but not the lead, despite the makers marketing it as such.
Siya Gautam and Ravi Teja also play key roles in the film, with music by Sunil Kashyap. Bankrolled by Sri Ganapathi Cinemas, the film is a detective comedy that transitions into a thriller in the second half.
The story revolves around an unsolved murder case, leading to the involvement of a quirky local detective, Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes, played by Vennela Kishore. His journey to crack the case forms the crux of the film. Stay tuned to see how this film performs post-release.
