While replying to Aparna Sen’s message, Srijit informed that he would not get admitted to a hospital before checking on the status of his platelets count
On Saturday, Srijit Mukherji took to his social media to reveal that he was suffering from dengue. It created an uproar among his fans and the post’s comment section was flooded with concerned messages from his fans and friends. A lot of people asked about his health updates. While replying to Aparna Sen’s message, Srijit informed that he would not get admitted to a hospital before checking on the status of his platelets count.
According to some reports, Srijit is getting better. He is at rest at his home, as the doctors had advised him. There has not been any need for him to be admitted to the hospital.

The speculation over his health started brewing after he posted a cryptic message on his social media on August 16. He wrote on Facebook, “It's getting dark, too dark to see….” His fans got anxious at this post and asked what happened. Punning on lyrics of his film, the director answered on Saturday night, confirming that he tested dengue-positive.
Aparna Sen wrote under the post, “Take care Wriju. I had dengue and I know how much it weakens the body. I hope you got admitted to a nursing home!” Srijit replied that he had not yet been admitted. A platelet count would be done on Sunday and the doctor will decide on Monday, based on the report. Aparna Sen advised him to take care of himself.

Music director Joy Sarkar wrote, “Kick off Dengue and get well.” Indraadip Dasgupta wrote, “Take care, everything will be alright.” Actor Anindya Chatterjee also had a dengue test. He told this and wrote, “Get well soon. My report came as negative today.”
