Hansika Motwani is one of the most popular heroines in South Indian cinema and has appeared in numerous films throughout her career. She is now gearing up for her new film, Gandhari, which is currently in production. The Tamil film, directed by R. Kannan on a decent budget, will also be dubbed in Telugu under the title Sri Gandhari, as per the latest reports.

Raju Naik of Lachhuram Productions, in collaboration with Saraswati Developers, is bringing the film to Telugu audiences. Hansika will be seen in an exciting and unconventional role. The decision to dub the film in Telugu was Hansika's idea, as she enjoys a substantial fan base in the Telugu states. She is heavily banking on this project as her comeback film and has also planned extensive promotions in Telugu states. Be it the trailer launch or events to be held, Hansika has planned big with the makers.
The movie is being presented by Vikram Kumar Rejintala and is set to release in December. Special plans are underway to ensure a grand Telugu release. The trailer has captured the audience’s imagination, and the makers have reportedly secured a solid distribution deal to make Sri Gandhari a big success in Telugu.

In the film, Hansika plays an officer in the Hindi Trust Committee who embarks on a journey to uncover secrets hidden within the Gandharva Kota fort. The cast includes Metro Sirish, Mayilsamy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Aadukalam Naren, Stunt Silva, Vinodhini, Pavan, Brigida Saga, Vadivel Murugan, and Kalairani, who play key roles.
This marks the second collaboration between Hansika and director R. Kannan, following their 2013 film Settai. The story has been penned by Tholppaiyan, with the screenplay executed by Dhananjayan.
The film’s OTT partner will be announced soon by the makers. Hansika, who requires a strong hit to reestablish her presence in Telugu cinema, is hopeful that Sri Gandhari will mark her successful comeback. Will Sri Gandhari deliver the success Hansika needs?
