The biggest of names in the film industry have often told how it’s easier to come to terms with failure more than success. Success seems more gratifying and is a mirage that distracts them from several bottlenecks; it is a difficult beast to tackle and demands poise. Having entered films when she was a teenager, college-going student, Sreeleela tasted instant success in Telugu cinema.

While her debut Pelli SandaD was a runaway success, Dhamaka was one of the highest grossers of 2022. The actress turned 22 yesterday and as many as seven looks from as many projects were unveiled by the respective teams. The list runs long, comprising Bhagavanth Kesari, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Boyapati Sreenu’s next with Ram Pothineni, Guntur Kaaram, Aadi Keshava, Nithiin’s upcoming film and an untitled OTT project with Allu Arjun.

At least 3-4 films from the list are expected to release this year. Even before they are out amidst the public, Sreeleela’s hurry to sign projects and the desperation of Telugu producers to cast her in every second biggie in the industry have triggered extreme reactions from netizens on social media. While a few have credited the actress for her golden run, some have taken a dig at the repetitiveness in her looks, blaming directors for their lack of creativity in giving her worthy characters.

Sreeleela, sans any doubt, is a fine talent - she isn’t only a pretty face but handles comedy with ease, has good, vivacious screen presence and dances like a dream. Going by the number of projects she’s filming for, she is expected to have releases every two months. However, with the mediocre roles that most Telugu filmmakers often give actresses, it’s hard to expect much variety in her avatars in the projects.

Apart from the aforementioned film, she’s also part of Vijay Deverakonda’s next and is expected to be paired opposite Siddu Jonnalagadda in the Telugu remake of Bro Daddy, to be directed by Kalyan Krishna. She will also team up with Naveen Polishetty for a film titled Anaganaga Oka Raju.
