The Korean survival drama Squid Game has been a huge hit after it was released on Netflix, a few months ago. The series made many headlines with many insights into the show, the actors, and whatnot. The Indian actor Anupam Tripathi, who has handled a major portion in the survival drama, has been in the limelight too since the global success of the show. In a recent interaction with AP, the actor has recalled it all once again and opened up about his initial experiences with the team.

The actor who has done a few lines in numerous movies, was nervous when called for Squid Game. “How will I do it because it’s so big?,” he asked to himself. Eventually he changed his mind and got ready for the audition. His nervousness seems to have totally changed after getting selected for the part.

Tripathi plays a Pakistani migrant worker in the show, who was assigned the No.199. The character’s innocence and loyalty throughout the story have gained him much love, and his performance was praised highly as well. Since the show became Netflix's most-watched, Tripathi also gained more than 4 million followers on social media. Yet, the actor kept himself busy appearing on Korean TV shows.

Although everyone wants to celebrate the news, he wants to do his job and move on, the actor made it clear. He also added that it was his way of making a living for 11 years in Korea, doing his job and looking for another job.

Tripathi left India to study acting at the prestigious Korean National University of Arts. He shared a bit of his learning experience and said it was a challenging one. Especially, in a new country, with a new language, he seems to have had many barriers, which he has successfully overcome now.
