Last Monday was a busy day for trolls on twitter as a now-deleted viral video of harry Styles allegedly spitting on Chris Pine was vieweed over 15 million times by people from all over the world.
It's good to see that Harry Styles has taken the accusation of spitting on Chris Pine rather sportingly.
On Wednesday, the former One Direction member returned to his residency at New York City's Madison Square Garden. While performing, the singer-actor took out time to address the elephant in the room: his infamous spit on Chris Pine's lap.
"Wonderful to be back in New York," Harry was seen saying, during the concert, in a video that was shared by one of his fan pages on Twitter.
"I just popped very quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine. But fear not, we're back," joked the pop star, while the audience broke in laughter and screamed to their hearts content. Harry shared a quick look with his band members as he smiled aat them.
On Monday, Harry Styles was widely discussed the world over for him allegedly spitting over Chris Pine at the Venice Film Festival 2022 where their already-drowning-in-controversy film Don't Worry Darling was premiered.
In a viral footage that was watched over 15 millions before being taken down by Twitter, Don’t Worry Darling actor Harry Styles can *allegedly* be seen spitting on his co-star Chris Pine while occupying a seat beside Pine, while director Olivia Wilde sat on the other side of the chair.
The video in question, which was then viewed for over 10 million times, reportedly saw Harry Styles drop a little spit on Chris Pine’s lap at the Venice Film Festival premiere Monday. A graceful Pine, however, smiled at this allegedly outrageous behaviour that the former One Direction-er exhibited in Pine.
Chris Pine's representative, too, has come forward and given an explosive statement to Variety. Calling it a 'ridiculous story' and clarifying Harry Styles 'did not' spit on Chris Pine, the rep said, "This is a ridiculous story -- a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation. Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine."
He said the co-stars share a relationship of mutual 'respect'.
"There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist," explained the rep.
Produced by Warner Bros. and directed by Olivia Wilde, Don't Worry Darling is releasing in theaters on September 23, 2022.
