Spirit, the upcoming Prabhas starrer directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is all set to go on floors soon. Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly in talks to play the antagonist in the film.
Prabhas is all set to join hands with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, for his upcoming 25th outing in films. The project, which is touted to be a mass action thriller, has been titled Spirit. Even though some interesting speculations on the rest of the star cast have been doing rounds on social media, the makers have not made anything official, yet. However, the recent updates suggest that Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan has joined the Spirit cast.
According to the grapevine, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who made an exit from Yash starrer Toxic due to schedule conflicts, has reportedly signed a South Indian big-budget venture, recently. The unconfirmed reports suggest that Kareena’s maiden South Indian venture is none other than Spirit, the upcoming Prabhas starrer. Interestingly, the rumour mills also suggest that the celebrated Bollywood star is not playing a quintessential heroine in the film, but is appearing as one of the lead antagonists.

Earlier, it was rumoured that Saif Ali Khan is planning to return to the Telugu film industry after Devara, with the upcoming Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. Now, after Kareena Kapoor Khan’s collaboration with the project started doing rounds, the rumour mills suggest that the real-life couple is indeed reuniting on the silver screen, for Spirit. It has been speculated that Saif and Kareena are roped in to play the antagonist duo, in the Prabhas starrer. However, none of these reports are officially confirmed yet.

As reported earlier, Prabhas is set to play yet another double role in his career, in Spirit. The Telugu superstar is reportedly playing the protagonist, a police officer, and a negative-shaded character in the film. The movie, which is being made with a whopping budget of 300 crore, is expected to go on floors by the first week of January 2025. Spirit will hit the theatres only by the final quarter of 2026, mostly in December, as a Christmas 2026 special release.
