Spirit: Rashmika Mandanna or Kiara Advani to star with Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film?

The upcoming film marks Prabhas’ 25th film, and first collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

After dazzling viewers with hits such as Arjun Reddy(2017) and Kabir Singh(2019), Sandeep Reddy Vanga is looking to wow audiences yet again with another stint in the director’s chair. The filmmaker had announced a new project with Prabhas last year. Titled Spirit, the film was announced last year in October. It is now being reported that either Rashmika Mandanna or Kiara Advani might be roped in to play the leading lady opposite the Baahubali star.

According to a report in India Today the makers of Spirit are considering casting either Kiara or Rashmika to play the female lead in the film. Once they make a decision on that front, the film is expected to kickstart its production. An official announcement regarding the same is yet to be made.

Spirit marks Prabhas’ 25th film project, as well as his first collaboration with Sandeep. The film is produced under the banner of T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. Kiara had worked with the filmmaker before in Kabir Singh, the Hindi remake of the director’s Arjun Reddy, which starred Shahid Kapoor in the lead.

Rashmika is currently working on Sandeep’s film Animal, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. The film had gone on floors in April, with its first schedule being shot in the Himalayas. Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol will also essay pivotal roles in the film, which marks Sandeep’s third directorial venture after Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh. T Series and Bhadrakali Pictures will also produce animals, which is slated for release in theaters on August 11, 2023. The pan India film will be released in Hindi as well as South Indian languages.
