Spider-Man No Way Home: Andrew Garfield affirms he is not in the movie

It seems like Andrew Garfield is tired of stating he won’t be reprising the role of Peter Parker in the upcoming Marvel adventure Spider-Man: No Way Home. Reiterating the fact in a recent GQ video, he said, “I am not”.

The actor was on the GQ video where celebrities respond to fan comments on social media. “Listen, at this point...I’m done,” he said. He added that everyone will find out when the movie is out, and either be very disappointed or very happy. “I’m sorry in advance,” he sighed.

After the announcement of the return of supervillains from earlier Spider-Man movies including Electro (Jamie Foxx), and Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), speculations started circulating that Parker will be returning too.

Despite Garfield's denial, the rumours were persisting. There were also fan theories going on stating that Garfiled’s and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man will come to rescue Tom Holland’s Peter against the supervillains. Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch will be reprising the role of Doctor Strange.

However, it is believed that Sony and Marvel Studios are keeping the surprise on hold. Meanwhile, Far From Home, the last Spider-Man film ended with a revelation to the whole world about Spidey’s identity.

Peter Parker will be seen asking Dr Strange to help him make his identity a secret again with magic, which leads to the multiverse breaking open, in the latest instalment of the franchise. The action will allow the supervillains from an alternate universe to enter Parker’s universe, which is reported to be the central theme of the movie.
