Good news sweeps in for all fans of Marvel Comics in India. The animated superhero film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, will release on June 1, 2023, a day before it is set to release in the USA.
Confirming the development, the makers of the film announced that the voice of Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar will be lent by famous cricketer Shubman Gill for the Hindi and Punjabi versions of the film. The trailer, featuring Gill’s voice, will be released today.
For the unversed, Gill is nowadays also in the news owing to delivering powerful performances in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. And this development indeed adds charm to Gill as a brand.
Speaking about this exciting development, Shony Panjikaran - General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) India said, “The interest and excitement Indian fans have shown towards Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is overwhelming. To fulfill this unprecedented demand in our market, we have decided to release the film a day prior, and again to reiterate in 10 languages.”
This upcoming animated superhero film is produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel Entertainment.
